I was raised in upstate New York by an engineer and elementary school teacher. From a young age I have always gravitated to the arts and creating environments.

I studied Interior Design at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2005, where I was awarded the Interior Design Honors Award.

Upon graduation I worked for a New York-based hospitality design studio assisting in the creation of many bespoke luxury environments (including hotels, spas, resorts and residences). I gained invaluable insight and experience into some of the world's most distinct properties. From this experience, I was brought into another New York-based firm, this time an architectural firm engaged in architecture, planning and interiors with a niche in historic restoration. This is where I realized the importance of historic, cultural and civic meaning as a guide to creating environments. I had unparalleled opportunities for diverse and rich design working on federal, institutional and civic projects, in addition to residential design.

In 2009 my love of learning led me to further study and in 2011, I received a Master of Arts from Columbia University. I welcomed my first child into the world in 2010 and my family moved to Fairfield County in 2012. With the arrival of our second child in 2013, I decided to open my own firm, Nokta Studio, in 2015. Since then I have had the opportunity to design Manhattan apartments, New Jersey new builds and Fairfield County renovations.

My relationship with the arts has been a lifelong passion, a hobby and obsession with all it encompasses. I am committed to the creation of unique, functional and meaningful environments, large or small. It brings me great joy to assist clients in elevating their lives through their interiors.
